Ok... story with my snake (Dendroaspis Polylepis - Black Mamba), she is
about 70cm long now. Been on antibiotics for 10 days because of mouth
rot & sneezing, her mouth was also a bit swollen. She was given very
small doses of baytril each day (IM) & gently swabbed off with cotton
wool damp with some stuff the vet gave me. Now (5 days after the Baytril
dose ended) she is coughing... any advice?
I have Flagyl, Panacur & Ivomec if any of those would help. The vet I
consult with says I should start another 10 day baytril course, but the
person that sold the snake to me says I must take out her water bowl and
see what happens when the air dries. He also said I shouldn't have given
the snake anti-biotics as it would mess up its liver and lungs.
