Re: Whoop! I got my boa!!!

Congrats Jenn. Boas are my favorite snakes! I can't imagine life without
mine. Sure the colubrids are OK but boas & blood pythons RULE! I only
have my 12 boa breeders until the next breeding season. I miss the
little guys. I haven't been around the NG much as I've been busy. I also
had to have my best friend put to sleep secondary to obsessive
compulsive disorder. It came on very suddenly & none of the meds did any
good. She was only 3 yrs old & such a beautiful little dog. The illness
was so intense it seemed like she was having seizures. My vet was
wonderful. I think he knew that we couldn't save her before I was
willing to admit it. However my last night with her was pure hell & I
knew what had to be done for her. I had lost the battle despite
antidepressants, an antipsychotic & large doses of valium. She didn't
show any signs of improvement & was getting worse despite treatment.
Again congrats on your new boa Jenn. While I like some colubrids I adore
