If you haven't already seen it, peruse the WFU site at
http://home.worldonline.nl/~wfu/ .  The "What is a Ferret"
and "Ferrets in Pictures" pages are kinda interesting.

I believe their natural diet would include small rodents,
rabbits, birds, amphibians, insects, etc.  However, if they
didn't learn to hunt when they were young, they may not
do so when they are older.  Many people say that a ferret
that escapes the home and their food source will starve to
death.
