For a skunk list check [EMAIL PROTECTED] Check skunkhaven and skunkstuff for the lowdown on owning a pet skunk. A pet skunk is generally a mellow tempered layed back animal. Superficially, it can seem like keeping a cat. Litter boxes around the house. they eat a combination of meat, cereal and vegetables, occassional treats of bits of fruit, cereal pcs. My skunk has only nipped me once and I startled and upset her. I can't speak for all skunks, but like ferrets, you get a wide range of personalities and temperment. I'd suggest you check your native language and see what kind of web pages come out. Visit someone with a skunk if you can. My ferrets get along fine with the skunk. A couple of them try to sleep with her. Mine won't use a litter box, so we use plastic mats. Bite is harder than a ferret. Mine snaps and releases, but will break the skin. I've taken 1 nip from her in the 4 mos we've had her. She really doesn't bite. You need to invest a great deal of time holding, playing wieth and letting you mink nap with you. I spent 4 hrs a day with Onyx and Donovan. Mink are semi-aquatic and need to swim. You should put a pan of water in the tub with some toys in it. I use capped water bottles and baby floating toys. Minka re not sutiable for families with children under the age of 10 yrs.
