Geeze, that's an old post. You're reply is gonna open another can of worms so I'll leave it alone.

I wonder why you people aren't more concerned with abortion or the
problems in your own countries. Get with it man.. they are only animals.
It's alot more important to help people than worry about a dog or cat.
There must be way too many if that many are being killed every year.
There is probably a very just reason for doing so.

or another option is to help both people and animals. It makes a big
difference if you've ever known an animal personally, otherwise they seem
just like some sort of partially-automated being. Animals feel pain just as
humans do, and an adult dog can understand language and problem-solve to a
greater degree than infants can.

realize reasons to care, instead of looking for reasons to not care...

Instead of boycotting China, shouldn't we be boycotting *Europe* for
demanding these dead animals?

We should also be boycotting the United States of America. Millions of

dogs

and cats are killed every year in the USA.

I don't know about *every* other country, but I am sure several others

are

killing at least one million dogs per year.

Anyway, China is an awfully large country for me to take on. I doubt

that

my spending habits influence global politics one way or the other, even

if

we were talking about someplace more manageable, like Monaco, for

instance.

Spay or neuter your pets.

British MEP Struan Stevenson says two million cats and dogs are being
killed in China alone each year in order to satisfy demand in Europe.
