My sister used to have a dog that loved to swim in the septic lagoon next door. Fortunately, she always chose the second stage pond instead of the first stage pond!! Still, she would be full of algae and stink from head to toe. Guess you could try a grease cutting detergent soap if the shampoos you are using are not cutting the grease. A one time use of Prell might do the trick, or as last resort, diluted Dawn dishsoap perhaps. As for the smell....similar remedy as for skunks. Tomato juice, vinegar, check online for other recipes. Glad your dog is well. Linda H.
