My sister used to have a dog that loved to swim in the septic lagoon
next door.  Fortunately, she always chose the second stage pond
instead of the first stage pond!!  Still, she would be full of algae
and stink from head to toe.

Guess you could try a grease cutting detergent soap if the shampoos
you are using are not cutting the grease.  A one time use of Prell
might do the trick, or as last resort, diluted Dawn dishsoap perhaps.

As for the smell....similar remedy as for skunks.  Tomato juice,
vinegar, check online for other recipes.
