I like the idea of using "beautiful" for things that are
beautiful, "gorgeous" for things that are gorgeous, and so
on. The notion that there's something feminizing about the
word "beautiful" is pretty silly to start with (and I
disagree that it is feminizing), but to then behave as if
there's something offensive about being described using a
female attribute (especially one as clearly laudatory as
"beautiful") is just plain dumb.
