We're very lucky to have friends who love Orson, and he loves them and their dog. They just moved to the country and are wonderful dog owners, so he'd have a great life. But your post has reminded me that, since I moved from Ithaca, where they live, no one in our families would be able to find these friends to notify them should something happen to us. So I'm off to write this down and send it to my mother. (Who would serve as a temporary weigh station for Orson in such an event.) Thanks for the nudge. Cate
