I've taught it by blowing a dog in the face and repeating the command both
before and after, then after a while she got it, but she doesn't always do
it, partly because she has been asked to do it and praised even without
doing it *sigh*.

The ears are in what i call the "I'm such a nice friendly cute doggy" -
position. It's like a "milder" version of what they look like when they are
showing they are submissive. The ears are not close to the head or neck.
They often have the ears in that backwards but outspread position also when
they come and say hello to me. During playing the ears go quickly from
something like that and totally erect too.
