The first stray was a mix between a Siameese (I hope I spelled it
right) and a Persian and she looked like she had kittens recently.
Taking her away would mean, we thought, certain death for the kittens.

Also, there is a backyard filled with cats and most of the people who
live there buy them some food and usually all the cats (and some of
the dogs around) have their bellies full, so we were'nt dumping her.
After a couple of days she was adopted by an old lady that had a cat
just like her and died of old age.

I guess she turned out even better than we hoped.
