Yep. Kitty bitties are out 24/7. For a special treat I put a small
handful in another dish and add enough water to make kitty cereal.
Those vanish within a couple of hours.
For breakfast I split a standard can between the two; they get half
in the morning and the rest for dinner. And if that's not enough,
there are kitty bitties. (Of course these taste better once I touch
them. I'm sure that's a factor in the window blind routine.)
Blanche was MIA for six weeks (google for "lost kitty Livonia" to
learn more) and returned at the same size as when I last saw her. She
has put on a couple of pounds since then, which is not good. My first
cat weighed a skinny 7 lbs her whole life, which was almost 21 years.
Having been through several traumas with this kid, I would like to
maximize my return on investment and keep her around for as long as
her seven remaining lives will allow.
Not to put too fine a point on this, but I've been feeding cats for
something like 45 years. Training new ones in proper behavior is new!
