Lice

To combat and/or prevent feather-lice, I have occasionally been putting few
a drops of Van-vermine-ex in a pot salt cellar and leaving it in my cote.
Seems to have worked a treat, because tatty feathers are now pristine.  The
question is, is my bird likely to get lice in the winter months or are they
active only in the summer?
