Hi Michael,

No flame intended here...

The group isn't really about discussing pigeons in general in spite of 
the title.  We get so many postings where people are trying to deal with 
nuisance common pigeons--and they're all off-topic here.  The group is 
really dealing with the sport and hobby of raising domesticated pigeons. 
 Domesticated pigeons are to common, feral pigeons as a Kentucky 
thoroughbred horse would be to a wild mustang running around the western 
portion of the U. S.   That is, they're the same animal but that's 
really about all they have in common.

And besides the domesticated pigeons we like to discuss and common, 
feral pigeons, there are hundreds of species of wild pigeons the world 
over that we never discuss at all.

Anyway, welcome.  There's not been a lot of activity in the group lately 
but like every news group it goes through periods of high activity and 
lulls.  I suspect after the National Young Bird Show this coming weekend 
there may be more postings.  We'll see.
