Nope. Not registered republican. Voted for Clinton, then voted for Gore.

Pretty much got it. Thanks. What I got was that both houses of congress 
are republican dominated due to the votes in all of the states and 
congressional districts. That would be that democracy thing you seem so 
worried about going away.
