We once went to Posey Lake in Utah. In the middle of the night, we were awakened to a woman's screams and a gunshot. We rushed to investigate. It seems some Boy Scouts from a local religious group were dissatisfied with their food. This meant food they were required to plan and bring, all of their own choosing. They went breaking into a tent of a sleeping couple. The man thought it was a bear in the darkness and put a .357 round right between two boy's heads. No injury, but a lasting lesson. The Scout troop left the next morning very early, and left a mess, too. I have seen all types of Scouts, having been in many PowWows and Scout-A-Ramas and on many camping trips. You would think it would be a little different, but you see a slice of humanity that is just like the rest of the world. Every Scout does not meet the standard. But, yes, there are many good Scouts and good Scout leaders out there. And as always, it's the good ones that make the difference. Just like in life. Steve
