"WATCHER" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... > Has anyone ever had any sightings of a Bigfoot? > > > Watcher I've gotten into arguments and been called silly and a ton of other things, but I can't say that I don't believe in bigfoots. And it's all because of a freshman science course in college. The lesson regarded how to prove something to be true or false. And bigfoots were the case scenario. First, he began the lesson by asking us what evidence we'd need in order to believe something. We went around the room and it was all pretty normal stuff like being able to see it, physical evidence, and things along that line. Then he threw it all at us. All the evidence we'd want. It was a small class, maybe 20 people, but I think only one or two people didn't believe in the possibility of bigfoots. It's been a while, but here's some of the evidence that I can remember. 1) A video tape of a bigfoot walking through the woods. This is the video that everyone has seen. But he broke it down to us and said that scientists were unable to explain the movement of the bigfoot - it couldn't be faked by a human wearing a costume becuase of how the joints moved. And I can't remember why, but they also believed that it was not a robot (it may have to do with boobs or something). (Visual evidence) 2) Foot fossils from bigfoots and hair samples. I believe the state was Oregon, but up in very tall trees, hair samples were found that couldn't be matched to any existing species of animals. I can't remember the major signifcance of how they determined that by all probabilities it was big foot hair. Also, there were dried footsteps of a very large creature that couldn't be identified. (Physical evidence) 3) I remember asking why there were no bones found of any bigfoots - if dinosaur bones were found, how come bigfoot bones were never found. The theory behind my instructors response was that bigfoots reside in forests and forests have an environment in which bones decay quickly. He cited Yellowstone park as an example and stated that for the thousands of bears that live there bones are very rarely encountered. And if the bigfoot community is small and widely dispersed, it would be highly unlikely that bones were ever discovered. I wish I could remember the rest because when it was all added up, it was hard to say that bigfoots couldn't exist.
