        Of course, if you strap on a cape, and jump off a
building, reality cannot be fooled.

        If you wish to insist that Mallory's work of vaguely
historically inspired fiction has any more moral strength than,
for example, "The Grapes of Wrath", I think that you are treading
on thin ice.
