Ya'know, I'm cynical enough to believe that more people would support the
jury's findings if McDonald's had been sued for producing (as policy) coffee
that tasted horrible but was specifically overheated to cause a subliminal
yearning for coffee.

It's sad that an old woman's scars and pain are considered an example of
*her* stupidity in assuming that store-bought coffee wouldn't be any hotter
than homemade.
