Need help id'ing this music video

Only tidbits I can remember:
* one guy singing or chanting
* techno/electronica - catchy tune though
* rain with lots of grey mud that the guy was covered in or the guy
was singin was  covered in grey grime
* maybe shot in a church - 

I was thinking maybe under the milky way by the church??? but I can't
find this video for comparison - saw back in '96.
