Your previous choices suggest that the sequence is in C Major, hence the missing scale may be E.phrygian-b4-b7 (which is a subset of C.double-harmonic-major that one might choose if it is desired not to leave the tonal center C). You may also play the simpler scale E.mixolydian, but this will change the harmonic context from C Major to A Major, temporarily. Should sound ok, though.
