Re: Real Synths Are Better Than Software Synths!

I never said I like analog synths. I hate analog. By *real hardware*
synth I meant a *digital* FM synth capable of doing its own processing
w/out the need for a CPU.

I am okay with software. I used the term software to describe digital
information that cannot do its own processing.

A cassette is an example of "analog software". Why not move on the CDs
and DVDs???

Digital is getting less expensive and more rewritable. Why not discard
those delicate analog tapes that are easily infected by electrical
noise?

Those audiophiles who claim "analog is better than digital" need a
nice ear check. Or try placebo on them ;-)

Would you happen to know the bit-resolution of SB16's FM synth? I used
to think it is 16-bit. Now I'm not so sure.
