You are completely wrong. I most certainly don't hate Heppner.  Quite
the contrary.  I have liked him for a long time and have pirates of
most of his performances, including the latest Tristan's, but the fact
remains that he has foolishly ruined his voice due to a combination of
an inadquate and/or a poorly realized technique and totally
inappropriate repertoire (for his voice), choices that he himself
made.  He is (was) an Irish tenor, like John McCormack.  Did John ever
sing TRISTAN or OTELLO?  I am very saddened actually that this fool
did this to his beautiful instrument.  It should be a hanging offense
in my book.
