The song itself is of no connection to "Greensleeves", but a moderately well-known conductor-arranger (whose name escapes me) of the era had the same idea, i.e., regarding similarities of the two, and decided to combine them (I actually saw this recording in about '71, but didn't have the cash to buy it on the spot! [Ouch!]), which would've undoubtedly been a treat to hear. This sort of harmonizing isn't done very often, and the results are IMO usually poor, - but these two melodies in the hands of a really talented arranger could hardly fail to please. Leonard Tillman
