Please see my Ebay auction for this bass at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2576064677 Here is a bunch of info on this bass: Jay Turser JTB-400QMT P-Bass (WITH EXTRAS) This is a very cool and lightweight Fender Precision style Bass Guitar. I am selling it for a friend of mine who has been a Pro Guitar Tech for over 30 years. He is an authorized tech for Fender, Martin, and most all the biggies. He took this bass in as trade for labor. The person that owned this bass added some features that made it much better than the original. This bass has a quilt maple top and gold hardware. The EXTRAS: 1. The stock pickups were changed to Seymour Duncan Bass Lines Quarter Pounders (SPB-3). 2. The original strings were changed with new set of Dean Markley Blue Steel Round Wounds (light 100 gauge). 3. Also has a brand new and decent Gig Bag. 4. It is ALL in mint condition as far as our eyes can tell. Here is a link to see pictures of the back of the bass and the headstock. http://home.comcast.net/~oobajooba/turser1.jpg Here is a review on this bass you can read: http://www.musicgearreview.com/article-display/148.html Stick a pre-amp in it and you will have a $4300 Sadowsky P-Bass J A word about Jay Turser instruments: I have been a bass player for over 35 years. For the money, Jay Turser makes great instruments. His details that match the originals are fantastic. I saw Paul McCartney twice last year. He made me want to buy a Hofner Beatle Bass J I compared the $2400 Hofner reissue to the Turser Copy and was astounded at how the Turser had the same vibe, sound, and feel (for about 1/10 the price). In fact, Turser was smart…..he used Grover style tuning gears vs. the small guitar gears that the Hofner’s have. The Turser stays in tune much better than the Hofner. McCartney was able to play about 3 songs on his Hofner before his tech had to retune. He was even worried during those 3 songs that he kept a BOSS tuner on his amp. In other words…..Turser is sharp and makes some great stuff for low cost. I will ship to U.S. States only. I will accept PayPal and money orders only. Winning bidder to add $30 shipping. If shipping is less, I will reimburse you the difference after the auction completes. Note: I am not a music dealer. I am selling this for a friend. I have described as best as I could. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Due to the weather and the new Dean Markley strings, it is possible the bass may need to be reset up after arrival to your home. If so, I will provide you a document I wrote up a few years back on the proper way to set up a bass guitar. I interviewed (Sadowsky, Tobias, Spector, and Pedulla) several of the top maker’s years back at NAMM shows and came up with my own spec sheet to set up basses quickly and accurately. I use 2 cheap guitar capos and some Sears auto feeler gauges to adjust neck relief (truss rod). I also use feeler gauges for setting nut height, and string height. If you need this information, I will provide after the auction completes. With this doc and the cheap tools you can buy (about $5), you can go to places like the Guitar Center and set up their basses quickly to try out properly. I have taken students to the Guitar Center and found some great low priced basses for them this way. In other words, you do not need a $1000 (or more) bass to sound and play good. I went through that phase in the early 90’s when I owned several Sadowsky’s, Pedulla’s, Spector’s, Alembic’s, Warwick’s, etc…. I am over all that now J
