Older records - early 33 1/3 ?

Are there any web sites with information on older records ?

I have some that I think are 33 1/3, but definitely the early days 
for that stuff. I can't find any copyright dates on the covers or
records. Is there some place I can do some reading and determine 
if any of these have any value or at least get some background info
before I post a bunch of stupid questions ?
