Loops & Presets:

 If peeps want to use loops then great but at least write & record their own rather than using stuff someone else has written!!! To me it defeats the object of “writing ya own music”

I’m now getting pissed off with hearing presets constantly used in songs I click on. Where’s all the feckin skill & soul gone!!!

 If peeps insist on using presets cos they can’t do it any other way then at least try editing a few patterns to make it their own in some small way. Most don’t even bother trying!!

I know all the presets off by heart cos my 8yr old daughter loves the “Reason” program among others & to be honest, what she comes up with is no better or worse than most other stuff I’ve heard produced in this way!!!!!

 

I love listening to new music ideas so if someone posts a link saying: <“listen to MY new song I wrote”> I’ll always show interest/respect & click on it. On doing so all I hear is preset drums, bass lines, chord progressions!!! This makes the  <“listen to MY new song I wrote”> statement complete bollox!!! I know all this is a matter of opinion & Yes: of course there’s some superb stuff around but I can’t help feeling I’m floating in a sea of poop with most of it!!!!! Just my opinion.
