Sounds silly but pots and pans with some sound design tricks sound awesome. Pitch 'em down and you have a giant pneumatic hammer. Throw a spoon in a big pot lid, swirl it around and you have dragging metal conveyor belts. Etc., etc. Really, it's that simple.
