Waaayyy more legit than eBay or PayPal is IMNSHO. It worked fine for me and the buyer. I can't vouch for other online escrow services, though. At least with the escrow service the buyer doesn't get his money right back (if the service you're using is legit), so that way they can't pull a scam like the other posters mentioned about eBay and PayPal. The bottom line is: do your research well and take your time no matter which method you use for buying or selling to people online that you don't know from past experience. When I sold my Virus B it was through an intermediary (a friend of one of the members of a mailing list I've been on for years), and I talked long distance on the phone to the guy also to plan out shipping & discuss who would eat the escrow costs (buyer did), etc. and negotiated the final price. When you get to hear the person you can sometimes get a better feel for if they plan on screwing you than if you just send a few impersonal emails to each other. All just my experiences. Everyone's are different. --wasted/su700fan
