If anyone is thinking of buying this product read this: I don't know how this product got out of beta. It crashes Outlook Express every time I try to use it and I can't run OE again without re-booting the machine. This happens regularly on both of my computers running Win XP. a search of the Symantec Knowledge base usint he terms "Antispam crashes Outlook Express" came up with this partial quote: You are using Outlook or Outlook Express 6. When you highlight a piece of email and click "This is Spam," or "This is not Spam," Outlook Express crashes. Solution: Symantec is investigating this problem. The cause is unknown, and there is no solution at this time. This document will be updated when new information becomes available or a solution is found. The problem seems to occur only if you do the following: Retrieve new messages (assume there is an email named "Spam" in this batch of messages). Retrieve more new messages (one or more times). Find that "Spam" email from the first batch of messages, then highlight it and click "This is Spam." Outlook Express crashes. --End quote. I also found the product hard to use, in that when I want to add a filter, I have to navigate through several clicks, and then I can't see how to specify a blocked domain, and I can't use anything but letters and numbers in the text filter. Not specifying a blocked domain means that spam that has a username of random consonants which always has the same domain name appended can't get filtered that way. This product sucks, but fortunately it was free after rebate in the set of 3 boxes, Norton Personal Firewall, System works and Antispam. Personal Firewall is also very inferior to McAfee Firewall, and McAfee also has Spamkiller which worked slower than Antispam but at least worked. The reason I tried to find an alternative to McAfee, is that a screen kept coming up to try to sell me more stuff that I couldn't get rid of.
