It was a dark and stormy night when [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Bruce Henderson) wrote: > I have downloaded Finale NotePad. It looks OK. Melody Assistant will (that's the program I use for notation). It's shareware, but IIRC the only thing that's crippled is that it prints an "unregistered" watermark over anything that you print. (And it's only ~$12 to register... IMO a tremendous value.) It's got a bit of a learning curve because it tries to do so many things, and sometimes the command you are looking for is hidden in an obscure submenu (there are dozens of menus, more dozens of toolbars, it's a notation program, it's an ABC program. wait! it's also a MIDI program! and that's not all, it's an mp3 player! it's a WAV editor! with the optional set of ginsu knives, it will not only prepare dinner but sing to you while you eat!). The authors are French Mac users so sometimes I trip on little cultural differences, but IMO it's a great program, and well supported.
