Where can I find SAX solo .. that is without piano, bass etc...?? Most
tunes have a piano intro, trumpet etc... then they play in background
for the whole tune .. even the sax solo .. Who plays the best SAX solos..?
Very few players, only Coltrane and Rollins, have I heard opening a tune
... I think more players should play DRY solos since the challenge of
playing without other instruments forces a creative improvisation that
could be exciting ... certainly I enjoy hearing the nuances of the SAX,
breath control, tone when well recorded .. on pro headphones the
experience is magical .. I love to drift on those tones!!
.. but maybe this is just because I am learning
thanks for listening
