Re: Beginner: Does it get easier?

Yes, it will get easier, but that is not the important question, because if you
practice, you are bound to improve. It's like asking, "If I work, will I earn
money?" Your happiness or satisfaction depends on whether you earn $10 million
or $10, not whether you earn or not. Same with piano: the most important
question is HOW FAST will you improve?

Unfortunately, for too many students, the best kept secret has been "how to
learn quickly". Learning piano and earning money are surprisingly analogous.
It is like earning compound interest. Piano is like compound interest because
the more you can play, the faster you will learn. Once you can play difficult
material, you exercise your hands more in the same amount of time, which
provides more learning acceleration. Now, at low interest rate, compounding
doesn't buy much because you don't live long enough for the compounding to kick
in. At high interest rate, compounding can make a HUGE difference quickly. In
piano, there are extremely efficient practice methods that I have assembled in
the link below. When you use these methods and let them compound for a few
years, you won't believe the progress you can make (I hope)!
