They deserve any praise that comes their way. They're crisp and bright, but have more pronounced midrange and bass frequencies than a typical 50s Strat would. That's perfect for me, because the ultra bright Strat pickups get on my nerves a bit. I find it a bit strange though that Fender only puts them in the Custom Shop Showmaster series.
