Eh? > Eh? > > > Regards, Harold I dig the reconstruction for nonet (flute, 2 clarinets, horn, bassoon, violin, viola, cello, bass) of the Serenade #1, op. 11. Apparently Brahms wrote it that way originally, then scored it for 2222 4200 T Str and threw away the original. Another current favorite: Krommer's quintet in Bb. Op. 92 is clarinet and standard string quartet; Op. 95 is clarinet, violin, 2 violas, cello. It's the same work either way, so go figure! Either way, it's terrific.
