Interesting. I would have thought so, too, that they could remix sound in
the studio, but I also noticed that they *were* recording what you call wild
sound at the beginning and ending of each take. This is not something I
noticed them doing the other times they were recording (though I may have
missed it-- obviously, they are recording many, many hours of events having
nothing to do with my daughter; she is only one character in the
documentary.)

I'm just relieved that we will have some control over the final product
since these are not exactly optimal conditions for recording.
