Yes, we thought so. All of the violinist-actors did a good job (my kids think the film may have been sped up in Kaspar's etude scene.) Sometimes the bow changes were a little out of sync, but overall it was very convincing. Have you seen *Together*, the Chinese film about the boy and his father? The boy-violinist does a great job (although the actual soundtrack is a recording by a professional violinist who makes a cameo appearance in the film. Karen
