After doing some research I think I may stick with the beat up thing for a
little while longer.  I pulled off the light DR Sunbeams (40-95) and
replaced them with Medium Lite XLs (45-100).  Maybe it's the new string
syndrome, but I swear the bass was just singing.  I am switching gears with
the holiday season and instead of playing the normal rock stuff, I am
playing more jazz like Christmas songs and the Jazz with the XLs is singing.
