Has anyone done the A/B comparison between the Leo Quan Bad Ass II bridge and a traditional Fender Vintage style? Does $60 sound like a good price for a Bad Ass II? I am considering a American Standard vintage style Fender bridge with slots or a Leo Quan Bad Ass II. I am looking to replace my nearly dead vintage bridge on an older Jazz bass. I tried this once with a Gotoh but the bridge sat too high and would not allow low action (yeah I could add a wedge but I really do not want to go thru all that trouble). The bass has an alder body with a rosewood fretboard. I play primarily finger style and a little slap. I do not have the finger style punch and clarity that I want down low but love how the thing sounds from the E (A string 7th fret) up. I have EMG active J pickups. Presently the bass also has light gauge strings which I will thicken up next time around. I guess you could say I have a real beauty from the waste up. Thanks, Dave
