The marketing machine rolls on.  If and when, in 15 years time, when Jamie
Cullum is really good and has a mature musical talent, the label will not want
to know.  Someone like Michel Pettruciani won't get a look in to start with.

Yes, he isn't bad, but you aren't considering him in isolation.  Imagine the
vast majority of jazz releases reduced to toothsome fodder.
