It's a bit more expensive to buy the strings individually, but that way
you get the exact gauges you need, so I say it's worth the expense.

You can get what you're looking for at First Quality Musical Supplies
(www.fqms.com).  I recommend asking them to send a catalog - it's
easier to see what your options are in terms of brand and price.  Then
order on-line when you know what you want.
