Just read it myself.....very candid indeed. > He doesn't really make any arrogant ass > comments. Well I'll comment on one below that I think is fairly arrogant and jab at the "long time Queensryche fan". > I like what he said about not doing anything off The Warning or > EP. Well, I don't like it but I respect it I guess. The man does stick to his convictions. > And it doesn't sound > like it would be O:M II either. I'm with Phil -- DeGarmo would definitely > have to be an integral part. Seems doubtful at this point that he would be though. With each new interview it seems that DeGarmo had less and less to do with Tribe. Makes me wonder if at some point we're going to read that DeGarmo had absolutely nothing to do with it. Wanted to comment on this question and answer from the interview. > [Interviewer] I had wondered because it would seem like you would people yelling > "Play Lady Wore Black!" > and screaming at you ever other night. If this was the case then explain the ever increasing popularity of Queensryche's music from the EP-Empire. At some point each successive QR album was "new". So how come the fans didn't reject the new songs on Empire because it hadn't been a part of their lives like O:M or RFO had? > that's > basically what music is-the soundtrack for your life. For me this is exactly what music is. I can track my entire life through music. > The new stuff can't even compete with it no matter how good it may be-that's true > even if the stuff you do right > now is considered the most brilliant stuff you ever did ten years from now. This is just flat out bullshit, and more than a bit condescending. Basically what he's saying is that Queensryche fans are just stuck in the past and blinded to the "brilliance" QR latest material. So then explain to me how bands like Tool, Disturbed, Evergrey, Evanescence and many others are rivalling Rage for Order and Mindcrime in the my musical catalog and Tribe, Q2k and HitNF don't? Keep digging your grave Geoff. Pretty soon you'll alienate every last fan this band still has....which based on Tribe sales and Concert attendance figures at a whole lot at this point. Later Phil
