One other thing I forgot to mention....

A lot of people don't realize this, but you can hook a printer up to a
WebTV/msnTV, Classic OR Plus.  IIRC they need a printer that can be
connected with the old parallel port, rather than USB (which is used
on most computers today).  A lot of printers support both parallel
port and USB, so it shouldn't be a problem finding one.  I think you
can call msnTV's toll-free number to find out which printers are
compatible.  So your grandparents will also be able to print out stuff
like e-mails or web pages, Pearl!
