Bruce and Jerry doing that musically-psychic communication
I hear you. I didn't become a deadhead until way late in the game. My
first handful of shows were that summer east coast tour with Bruce on
board, so to me, that's what the Dead are supposed to sound like, and
that Bruce/Jerry thing was what really did it for me, what really got me
to that place, I'm sure you know what I mean. I was lucky enough, and
young and tenacious enough, to have gotten myself pretty close to the
front regularly, and to just see the two of them, eyes locked, grinning
at each other, totally reading each others' minds. Sigh, indeed.
Too bad about those bruce DVDs not happening, those were pretty good
shows. I still remember that Loser Bruce played, it was huge and deep
hit me as being just so right.
