How was the clutch basket? Does it have "grooves" on the poles? The clutch plates wear these grooves, that's what makes clutch drag...
I replaced the clutch on my RM125 once. The basket was so grooved that I ended up with almost no cable slack, and still get a lot of drag. You can file the poles to make them smooth, but the best fix is replacing the clutch basket.
