Don't be put off by the title, but you might want to find a copy of "Principles of a Quick Kill TT 23-71-1". This is a US Army training manual that used a Daisy M4199, very similar to the Red Rider. It teaches instinct shooting. A low velocity BB gun is ideal, because yuo can see the trajectory of the BB and correct, like aiming a garden hose.
