Norvac Electronics carries these little kits that allow you to build up a sound generator. I do not recalll what the name of the company is that makes them. If I get out there in the near future I will check on it for you. The link below is for All Electronics, they carry a little get that has train sounds on it, one of which is a diesel engine sound.
