When I was putting myself through college working odd jobs, I worked as
a Short Order Cook at a restaurant chain.  I knew one guy there who got
a job working as the dishwasher in order to support his family.  It was
crappy (all dishwashing jobs are) and the pay was low but it was honest
work and paid the bills 'till he could find a better job.
