Lost in translation

While maintaining a mailing list to which UNIX tool questions were
sent, I received the following query:

My reply:

} A literal translation would be "Dollar bang nulled, predecessor circle"
}
} I think it roughly translates to
}
}       "All your money was stolen because you married your own mother"
