It is a big frame almost like the modle 27. It just did not come in a good
looking box and teh finish was not as good looking. The sights were
somewhat differant. It was made to be a good every day use gun. I have one
I bought over 30 years ago. New I think I payed about $ 165 for it and the
modle 27 was going for about $ 220 at the time. That was just after the
Dirty Harry movies and S&W handguns were very hard to get in the local area.
