# I bought a Glock 36 about four months ago. After the first
hundred
# rounds or so, I started experiencing an occasional misfeed on
the
# second round because the first casing would not fully eject.
I
# experienced this with both the Winchester USA 230 Grain FMJ
and the
# Federal American Eagle 230 Grain FMJ. I tried a different
Glock
# factory magazine (plus the two that came with the gun), but I
# experienced that same problem. The gun shop where I bought
the Glock
# 36 had their gunsmith smooth out the extractor, but the
problem
# continued. Next, the gun shop sent the G36 back to
Glock--they
# changed the recoil spring and also switched out the
extractor. This
# seemed to make the problem worse. So, the gun shop sent the
G36 back
# to Glock again, and Glock sent a new gun. No misfeeds for
the first
# hundred rounds or so; then the problem starts happening
again.
#
# The problem has been verified by the gun shop, as two of
their
# employees test-fired the gun with my American Eagle
ammunition and
# experienced the same problem. This eliminates limp-wristing,
as one
# of the two test-firers is a national pistol champion, and the
second
# test-firer taught marksmanship in the armed services for many
years.
#
# This Glock 36 is a fine gun--accurate to 50 yards off-hand.
I want to
# keep the gun, but I also would like to be able to count on it
when the
# rubber hits the road. So, this brings up the question:
What is the
# problem? Right now, I'd like to hear your experience with
your Glock
# 36, if you own one (or if you did at some point). Did you
experience
# this problem? What ammunition did you use? Please e-mail me
at
# [EMAIL PROTECTED], or post here. Many thanks for your
help!
I own a number of Glocks but not the M36. None of my Glocks
have ever burped, not one time. I also use a variety of ammo..
I would suggest that you request yet another completely new
handgun. Incredible problem. Please keep us posted as to how
you resolve the problem.
